Apple Offers iPhone Discounts in China as Competition Intensifies

Given the fiercer competition in the smartphone market, Apple's plan to give steep discounts on iPhone models in China is creating headlines. Apple will offer up to 500 yuan (about $68.50) off on its newest iPhone models, including the top iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, between January 4 and January 7, 2025. This marketing campaign coincides with growing pressure on Apple from domestic competitors, especially Huawei, who has been quickly regaining market share.
