Telangana: At least 20 people have been injured in a powerful explosion at a chemical factory in the state of Telangana. The incident occurred near Hyderabad, in the Pashamylaram Industrial Zone, when a reactor inside the facility exploded, triggering a massive fire.
Following the blast, a strong chemical odor spread across the area, raising concerns among local residents. The fire brigade is currently engaged in efforts to douse the flames.
Media eports suggest that twelve people may have died in the incident, but this has not been officially confirmed. Mahipal Reddy, a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Hyderabad, stated that it is too early to confirm any fatalities.
The explosion was so intense that one building was completely destroyed, while nearby structures also sustained damage. Emergency response teams remain on site as investigations into the cause of the explosion continue.
