Washington: Wrestling veteran Dutch Mantell has harshly criticized former WWE executive John Laurinaitis, calling him a “backstabbing bastard” and predicting that Vince McMahon will settle the Janel Grant lawsuit for $50 million.
The comments were made during the latest episode of “Story Time with Dutch Mantell,” following Laurinaitis’s dismissal as a defendant after agreeing to cooperate with investigators.
Mantell claimed Laurinaitis “rolled over on Vince twice,” first by identifying as a fellow victim alongside Grant, then by denying involvement, and finally by agreeing to provide evidence against McMahon and WWE.
Mantell believes McMahon will avoid a trial and instead choose a massive financial settlement to prevent public scrutiny.
Mantell emphasized Laurinaitis’s lack of credibility due to changing statements, stating he would be a “horrible witness.” He also recalled an alleged incident in which McMahon paid $1.5 million for an NDA involving Laurinaitis and a WWE office worker.
Mantell condemned Laurinaitis’s character, claiming he built his career by “scraping dirt” and “kissing up.” He said Laurinaitis was fake and manipulative, friendly in public but deceitful behind the scenes.
