Stamford: Former WWE personality Jonathan Coachman has boldly predicted that Paul “Triple H” Levesque will no longer run WWE within the next 18 months. Speaking on “The Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling” podcast, Coachman suggested a growing power struggle behind the scenes could force Triple H out of his role as Chief Content Officer.
Levesque took over WWE’s creative direction from Vince McMahon. Still, Coachman believes his past tensions with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, now a member of TKO Group’s Board of Directors, may soon cost him.
“From my time there and with The Rock, I know that he does not get along with Triple H. That does not go away,” Coachman said. “They’ve always been butting heads for years and years for many different reasons.”
According to Coachman, multiple inside sources confirmed a brewing power struggle within WWE. He argued that TKO’s vision for the company as an entertainment product conflicts with McMahon and Levesque’s approaches.
“We predicted that within 18 months, Triple H will not be running WWE anymore,” Coachman added. “I feel bad for him because I’ve always really liked him.”
Coachman also pointed to recent signs of discord, citing WrestleMania events where he felt Levesque overshadowed wrestling legends.
“Look at what happened at WrestleMania. You’re going to disrespect Bret Hart and Stone Cold Steve Austin and walk them out with everybody else, and you get your grand entrance next to those guys,” he remarked.
Coachman speculated that The Rock might eventually prefer his longtime associate, former WWE writer Brian Gewirtz, to replace Triple H as the creative head.
If these predictions hold, WWE could see a significant shift in leadership and creative direction in the coming months as the battle for control behind the scenes intensifies.
