Gaza: At least nine civilians, including children and women, have been killed in two separate Israeli airstrikes targeting homes in central and northern Gaza, according to local reports.
The first attack struck Sheikh Radwan neighbourhood in northwest Gaza City, where two Palestinians were killed and several others were wounded. In a second, deadlier strike, Israeli warplanes bombed a house in Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.
Initial reports listed seven dead, but Al Jazeera’s correspondent on the ground has now confirmed that eight people, all from the same family, were killed in the Bureij attack.
The Wafa news agency reports that both strikes hit residential homes, with no prior warnings. Emergency responders continue to search through the rubble, fearing more victims may be trapped underneath.
These latest attacks come as Gaza reels from a crippling humanitarian crisis amid ongoing bombardment and a strict Israeli blockade, which has severely limited the delivery of food, medicine, and fuel.
The death toll from Israel’s war on Gaza has now surpassed 61,700, including thousands of children, as reported by the Gaza Government Media Office.
