Israeli Army Issues Forced Evacuation Orders After Deadly Attacks on Gaza

Gaza: The Israeli army launched a series of deadly airstrikes on Gaza on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, killing at least 326 Palestinians. Following these attacks, the army issued forced evacuation orders in several areas—specifically targeting the neighborhoods of Beit Hanoon, Khirbet Khuza’a, Abasan al-Kabira, and Abasan al-Jadida—with residents being told to head to shelters in western Gaza City or Khan Younis.

The offensive came as the fragile ceasefire with Hamas, which had been in place since January 19, was effectively overturned.

Israeli officials, including army spokesman Avichay Adraee, described the operation as a massive offensive against terrorist organizations, declaring the targeted zones as dangerous combat areas. In contrast, Hamas condemned the action, stating that the Netanyahu government had sacrificed the ceasefire and put civilians and hostages at risk.

According to reports, the strikes had hit residential buildings, schools, and public facilities—many of which had been converted into evacuation centers—turning them into “death traps.”

Additionally, the United Nations’ humanitarian coordinator urgently called for the immediate reinstatement of the ceasefire, while voices such as Muhannad Hadi highlighted the unacceptable nature of the ongoing airstrikes.
