KSrelief Implements Noor Program to Combat Blindness in Balkh

Balkh: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has initiated a significant medical campaign in Mazar-i-Sharif, the capital of Balkh Province, aimed at fighting blindness and eye-related diseases.

The initiative, part of the Noor Saudi Voluntary Program and executed in partnership with the Al Basar International Foundation, is delivering critical eye care services to communities with limited access to specialized treatment.

Since the beginning of the campaign, the volunteer medical team has examined 2,791 individuals and successfully conducted 289 eye surgeries, according to official reports.

The program focuses on addressing vision impairments in underserved areas, with the broader goal of improving patients’ quality of life through accessible and high-quality medical care.

This effort is part of Saudi Arabia’s broader humanitarian outreach, reflecting the country’s commitment to global health initiatives.

By deploying expert medical personnel and working closely with international health organizations, KSrelief continues to play a key role in reducing avoidable blindness and supporting vulnerable populations in Afghanistan.
