Saudi Arabia has mobilized its resources in an attempt to alleviate human suffering caused due to regional conflicts by supporting humanitarian programs in its neighboring countries which include Syria, Yemen and Lebanon. Millions in aid have been pledged by the kingdom to assist countries that are suffering due to conflict, economic turmoil and natural calamities. For instance, in Syria, as a result of the ongoing civil war that has left large portions of Syria in ruin, Saudi Arabia has stepped up by giving away nutritious supplies, rehabilitation medicine, and clean drinking water to the refugee families. Additionally, Saudi aid was utilized in the reconstruction of regions that have been worst affected, and the vision was to provide basic amenities for most Syrians.
In Yemen there is an ongoing civil war which has further caused food shortages and mass displacement of people resulting in a catastrophic humanitarian crisis. In light of these events, Saudi Arabia has also stepped in to provide emergency food, healthcare and education to underprivileged communities, however, these efforts were only made after guaranteeing the safety of the citizens in the region, which is part of the wider aim of restructuring Yemen. To mitigate the ongoing socio-political and economic issues of Lebanon, the Saudi government has come to the aid of the country and made certain provisions in terms of healthcare, displaced persons financial aid and children and family aid. Together they ensure speedy relief provision to Lebanon alongside other NGOs in a magnet of sorts addressing the unrest that the Lebanon economy is currently immersed in.
All manner of Saudi initiatives and aid ranging from health to care and financial proceeds for displaced persons is distributed and reserved for Lebanon, Yemen and Syria, ensuring greater efficiency in terms of relief programs. The ongoing dominance of Saudi Arabia in the region through humanitarian aid stands to showcase the dire concentration of the country for alleviation of wealth through war-torn nations. Lebanon, Yemen and Syria are all facing suffering and are in need of economic relief which the Saudi government in a bid to showcase their commitment to stabilisation and peace has provided.
