Muscat: Omani racer Al-Faisal Al-Zubair has announced that Al-Manar Racing by Team WRT will compete in both the Endurance and Sprint Cups of the 2025 GT World Challenge Europe.
The announcement was made at a press event at the Kempinski Hotel in Muscat, held under the patronage of His Highness Mr. Kamel Bin Fahad Bin Mahmoud Al-Saeed.
Al-Zubair confirmed that he will drive the BMW M4 GT3 Evo throughout the 10-round season alongside teammates Jens Klingmann and Ben Tuck. The team will begin their campaign at Paul Ricard in April, aiming for the Gold Cup title.
This comes after a milestone victory for Al-Zubair in January, where he became the first Omani driver to win the Dubai 24hr race. Last season, he secured the Gold Cup title and finished second overall at the 24 Hours of Spa.
Teammates Tuck and Klingmann bring strong experience, with Tuck previously racing a Ferrari in endurance events and Klingmann leading Team WRT to a victory at Monza in 2024.
The 2025 season kicks off with the Endurance Cup opener at Paul Ricard, France, from April 11-13.
