Arab-Islamic Committee Holds Talks on Gaza with French FM in Paris

Paris: As part of ongoing diplomatic efforts mandated by the Extraordinary Joint Arab-Islamic Summit on the developments in Gaza, a delegation from the Arab Ministerial Committee held high-level talks on Friday with French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Noël Barrot.

The meeting took place at the French Foreign Ministry headquarters in Paris and was led by Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan.

The delegation also included Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigration Dr. Badr Abdelatty.

The discussions focused on intensifying international efforts to end the war in Gaza and ensuring the unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid to the Palestinian enclave.

The ministers addressed the urgent need for joint action to halt ongoing violations committed by Israeli occupation forces against the Palestinian people and territories, actions considered violations of international law and humanitarian conventions.

The delegations reaffirmed their shared commitment to advancing a just and lasting peace in the region, emphasizing the implementation of the two-state solution in line with relevant international resolutions and legal frameworks.

Additionally, preparations for a high-level international conference on the two-state solution were discussed.

This conference, co-hosted by Saudi Arabia and France, is scheduled to take place in June at the United Nations headquarters in New York, aiming to further diplomatic momentum toward resolving the conflict.
