Sharjah: Crescent Group, a diversified family business with a 55-year legacy and 25 operating companies across nine sectors, has partnered with the Khalid Bin Sultan Al Qasimi Humanitarian Foundation (KSQF) to bolster programsthat protect and empower vulnerable children in the Global South.
In a signing ceremony held on March 17, 2025, at Crescent Group’s Sharjah offices, the organizationsinked a Memorandum of Understanding, designating Crescent Group as a Founding Legacy Partner and contributing Dhs1.2 million to support KSQF’s initiatives.
The strategic partnership focuses on safeguarding children impacted by conflict, natural disasters, and poverty by ensuring their rights and providing support through community-led programs. This collaboration reinforces Crescent Group’s ongoing commitment to capacity building and education across the region and Asia.
Mr. Ravi Kumar, Chief Corporate Officer of Crescent Petroleum and a Board Member of Crescent Group, expressed pride in supporting KSQF’s mission to build a brighter future for at-risk youth.
“This partnership underscores our long-term focus on empowering young people and preparing them to build a better world for future generations,” he said.
Lujan Mourad, Director of KSQF, welcomed the significant financial contribution, emphasizing its role in advancing the foundation’s work to protect children and ensure their welfare. “This generous support is a critical step forward in our efforts to provide vital assistance to children vulnerable due to conflicts, natural disasters, and poverty,” she remarked.
Since its establishment in 2024, KSQF has focused on building strategic global partnerships to address the needs of children in conflict zones and impoverished communities. This partnership further solidifies Crescent Group’s role in supporting initiatives that enable children and young people to reach their full potential through targeted capacity-building efforts.
