UAE: Ras Al Khaimah is set to host an exhilarating new cycling event, the Jais Ride, scheduled for 12th April 2025 on the UAE’s highest peak, Jebel Jais. This new race aims to further establish the region's reputation for world-class sporting events.
Riders will face a challenging 25km ascent up the legendary mountain route of Jebel Jais, renowned for its breathtaking views and unique terrain. The route, often featured in the UAE Tour, promises to push cyclists to their limits with exciting competitions at key split points along the course.
The road, constructed in 2017, is considered one of the best mountain roads globally, offering cyclists a smooth, winding ascent with multiple switchbacks and dramatic elevation changes. The event aims to showcase Ras Al Khaimah’s natural beauty and dynamic landscapes while enhancing its status as a leading destination for outdoor sports and adventure tourism.
