New York: Sean "Diddy" Combs allegedly brought three firearms to confront Suge Knight at Mel's Drive-In in Los Angeles in 2008, according to testimony by his former assistant David James. The shocking claim came during Diddy's ongoing federal sex trafficking trial.
James, who worked for Diddy between 2007 and 2009, said the confrontation happened around 3 a.m. while he and bodyguard D-Roc were getting cheeseburgers. They saw Knight in the parking lot, and James claimed someone passed a gun to Knight.
The two fled the scene but returned shortly after on Diddy's orders. James testified that Diddy had three guns on his lap. He said he feared for his life and left the job six months later.
James also described strange hotel demands from Diddy, including the use of aliases, cash, baby oil, and applesauce. Regina Ventura, mother of Cassie Ventura, also testified during the trial.
She said Diddy demanded $20,000 after Cassie started dating Kid Cudi and threatened to release explicit tapes of her.
Diddy's legal team challenged James' statements, pointing out inconsistencies. James insisted he had no choice in the matter. As the case unfolds, more testimony, including from Kid Cudi, is expected this week.
