DUBAI: Dubai Basketball continued their pursuit of the ABA League's top spot with a dominant 97-88 win over Igokea m:tel on Saturday at Laktasi Sports Hall.
The victory, which improved their record to 24-5, kept them in the hunt for first place with just one game left before the playoffs.
Dubai's fast start set the tone, as they scored a season-high 39 points in the first quarter, establishing a 20-point lead early on.
Despite Igokea's efforts to fight back, the Bosnian side couldn’t recover.
Head coach Jurica Golemac praised the team’s focus, emphasizing the importance of staying locked in and improving for the playoffs.
Davis Bertans, who led the charge with 19 points in the first quarter, finished with 21 and was named the ABA League’s Man of the Match.
“I felt good out there. My teammates found me, and we built momentum early,” Bertans said, reflecting on the game.
