NEW DELHI: A huge fire broke out early Thursday morning at Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce in Delhi’s Pitampura area. The fire started around 8:55 AM and quickly spread through the first, second, and third floors of the college
In response, 11 fire tenders were sent to the scene by the Delhi Fire Service (DFS). Firefighters managed to bring the fire under control by 9:40 AM. Thankfully, no injuries have been reported, and cooling efforts are still ongoing to prevent any flare-ups.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation. While the library suffered significant damage, quick action by the fire services helped prevent the fire from spreading further.
The college administration has not yet commented on how the fire may affect students or faculty. Authorities are working to determine the exact cause of the blaze. Despite the damage, the situation was brought under control without any casualties, thanks to the prompt response from the fire services.
