The project is designed for residents, visitors, and athletes, providing world-class sports infrastructure for professionals and amateurs alike. It also integrates sustainable urban development and enhanced mobility solutions to improve the quality of life in Riyadh.
The opening of the first phase advances Riyadh’s vision of becoming a global sports and lifestyle hub, offering diverse outdoor activities, improving public spaces, and supporting the city’s sustainability goals. The project plays a key role in Saudi Arabia’s economic diversification efforts by attracting investment and boosting tourism.
With the first phase now completed, 83 km of the project is operational, reflecting 40% completion. Future phases will introduce additional destinations, including: The Urban Wadi Destination, King Abdulaziz Road Underpass and Abi Bakr Al-Siddiq Road Underpass.
