Noshki: Four police officers were killed when unidentified gunmen opened fire on their patrol in the Ghareebabad area of Noshki city on Saturday night.
Noshki Police Chief Hashim Momand confirmed the incident, stating that the officers were on routine patrol when they were ambushed by unknown assailants. The bodies of the slain officers have been shifted to the Teaching Hospital Noshki for post-mortem examination.
This attack follows another violent incident in the Mangi Cher area of Kalat district, where four laborers were killed in a separate assault.
Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti condemned both attacks, vowing that the perpetrators would be brought to justice.
"The blood of our police officers and innocent laborers will not go in vain," he said. "There is no place for terrorists and their facilitators in Balochistan."
