THIUMPHU: Dr. Hussam Alangari, President of the General Court of Audit (GCA), participated in the INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI) Board Meeting in Thimphu, Bhutan. As Saudi Arabia's representative on the IDI Board of Directors, Dr. Alangari joined board members from the UK, Brazil, Norway, Austria, South Africa, Kenya, and Bhutan.
During the meeting, the board reviewed the IDI's initiatives and achievements, focusing on the technical support provided to Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) in developing countries. Discussions centered on enhancing performance through capacity-building programs and future support opportunities.
The meeting included the approval of the IDI's 2024 annual report, financial statements, and policies for disbursing support to beneficiary institutions, ensuring continued advancement of the initiative's mission. The IDI is committed to strengthening the capabilities of SAIs globally.
