Greece and UAE Strengthen Economic and Strategic Ties in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi: The meeting between Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in UAE ,Thursday 27 Feb, was made to strengthen economic ties and discuss regional developments, including Syria.

The meeting took place on Thursday, February 27, 2025, in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Government sources confirmed that Mitsotakis emphasized UAE investments in Greece have surpassed the €4 billion target set in the 2022 Strategic Investment Cooperation Agreement. Discussions covered economic cooperation, AI development, energy, tourism, and agri-food sectors. Greece aims to position itself as a key bridge linking India, the Middle East, and Europe.

The UAE has been increasing its investments in Greece through partnerships with the Hellenic Development Bank and ADQ. The two leaders explored further collaboration in AI, digital infrastructure, and renewable energy. Mitsotakis invited Sheikh Mohamed to visit Greece soon, reaffirming their strategic relationship.
