Dubai: Hyundai Motor Company President and CEO José Muñoz held a town hall at the Namyang R&D Center, marking his first since assuming the role. He emphasized Hyundai’s commitment to quality, customer service, and innovation, stressing the importance of direct communication and data-driven engineering.
Muñoz outlined Hyundai’s customer-centric approach, highlighting the need for top-tier quality standards. Addressing EV and autonomous driving advancements, he emphasized the role of strategic partnerships and cutting-edge technology.
"As an engineer myself, I have been eager to engage with the exceptional team at Namyang. I challenge engineers because I have high expectations for those I care about, just like family," said Muñoz.
Over 800 employees attended, including senior executives Heui Won Yang and Hae In Kim. The 30-year-old Namyang R&D Center, a 3.47 million-square-meter hub, was recognized for its role in Hyundai’s success, contributing to global sales, market growth, and award-winning designs.
The session, livestreamed globally, included a Q&A where Muñoz reaffirmed Hyundai’s flexible approach to electrification and investment in autonomous driving. He encouraged employees to stay committed to excellence, reinforcing Hyundai’s vision as a leader in smart mobility solutions.
