Dubai: Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) is set to open its first international campus in Dubai, marking a historic step in the institute’s global journey. This will be the first time any Indian Institute of Management establishes a presence outside India.
The announcement comes after the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during the visit of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum — Crown Prince of Dubai and UAE’s Deputy Prime Minister — to India.
The Dubai campus is expected to launch its first academic program in September 2025. IIMA officials have stated that this initiative aligns with their strategic vision to expand internationally and deliver world-class management education to a broader global audience.
This development also underscores the strengthening educational collaboration between India and the UAE, providing students in the Gulf region access to IIMA’s renowned faculty, pedagogy, and academic excellence.
