India Rejects Pakistan’s Allegations of Involvement in Terrorism

New Delhi: India rejected firmly the allegations of Pakistan against it alleging terrorism within the territory, especially the latest attack on Jaffar Express.

On his part, Pakistan's Foreign Office spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan stated that India had conducted this attack, alleging that the terrorists had been in contact with their fillers and ringleaders on the soil of Afghanistan.

In retaliation, India rebutted the allegations of Pakistan as "baseless" while firmly denying any participation in the attack. The government of India stated that these frivolous allegations are only a distraction from the prospects for peace and stability in the region. In addition, India has made it clear that it is determined to fight terrorism in all its forms and will take suitable action against all threats to its security.

The recent Jaffar Express bombing incident has been quite damaging in terms of loss of life. Pakistan authorities had claimed that the terrorists were working in coordination with the operatives stationed in Afghanistan, allegedly implicating India. But India countered those claims with speed, arguing that Pakistan's accusations were bereft of any tangible and credible evidence and were just a phase of its sustained campaign of disinformation.

At a time of rising tension between the twin nations, India rejects any implication. The two countries have always had a troubled relationship, and this kind of allegation just pours more oil into the fire of the already burning dispute. India's answer to the follies is a diplomatic one that declares India will fight terrorism and will not take to blaming others, a vice of Pakistan.

While Pakistan continues to blame outside interference for its own internal security problems, India's stand remains utterly uncompromising: it will not tolerate any forays of false claims against it and will channel each and every resource for the cause of regional peace and cooperation in counterterrorism.
