Internal Rift in PTI: Lawyers' Group vs. Political Group

Islamabad: A major rift has emerged within Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) as the party’s lawyers' group and political group find themselves at odds.

According to PTI sources, the lawyers' group has raised complaints with PTI founder Imran Khan against key political figures, including Sher Afzal Marwat, Ali Amin Gandapur, Asad Qaiser, and Junaid Akbar.

Reports suggest that the lawyers' group has successfully pushed for the removal of Sher Afzal Marwat from the party. Additionally, they complained to Imran Khan about Junaid Akbar regarding the Swabi public gathering.

Sources revealed that Imran Khan was informed that only 3,000 to 4,000 people attended the Swabi rally, and Ali Amin Gandapur did not provide financial support for the event.

However, PTI Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President Junaid Akbar denied any internal conflict, stating, "I never asked Ali Amin for funds, nor is there any dispute between us. I raised his hand in the air to send a message of unity."

Similarly, Akhunzada Hussain Yousafzai defended Asad Qaiser, calling the allegations against him false. "Asad Qaiser has played a key role in strengthening the opposition alliance," he stated.
