Islamic Minister Highlights Saudi Arabia’s Role in Promoting Peace

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Islamic Affairs hosted a cultural event for 250 pilgrims from 14 European countries. The pilgrims were part of the Guests of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Program for Umrah and Visit.

During the event, they thanked the Saudi leadership for allowing them to perform Umrah and visit historic sites in Madinah and Makkah.

Minister of Islamic Affairs, Sheikh Abdullatif Al-Asheikh, said that under King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Saudi Arabia is dedicated to spreading goodness and moderation. He also emphasized the Kingdom's commitment to humanitarian aid and support around the world, reflecting Islam’s core values.

Guests praised Saudi Arabia for promoting peace, tolerance, and understanding, as well as for the new projects and expansions at the holy mosques, which align with Saudi Vision 2030.

The leader of the Netherlands' imams, Al-Khamar Al-Baqari, thanked Saudi Arabia's government and citizens for their hospitality.

The program's executive director, Sheikh Ali Al-Zughaibi, stated that since its inception in 2014, 4,500 men and women from all over the world have had the chance to visit the Prophet's Mosque and perform Umrah.
