Anti-displacing eruption. Israel’s Defence Ministry has announced that it is creating a new government agency to manage the "voluntary departures" of Palestinians from Gaza. This plan is linked to a controversial proposal from former US President Donald Trump, which suggested displacing Palestinians from Gaza as part of a bigger initiative. The military is also preparing to handle the return of bodies from four captives taken to Gaza, following the first phase of the ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas.

At the same time, Egypt is actively working on a detailed plan to rebuild Gaza and has rejected the idea of displacing Palestinians. Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty spoke at an international meeting and condemned the plan to remove Palestinians from Gaza. He called for immediate action to help the people in Gaza, emphasizing the importance of starting the reconstruction of Gaza soon with a clear timeline.

Abdelatty also highlighted Egypt’s commitment to ensuring that Palestinians stay in Gaza during the rebuilding process. He pointed out that Egypt is working on a multi-stage plan to support Gaza’s recovery while keeping Palestinians on their land. Egypt is trying to find a better solution to Trump's plan, which suggested that Egypt and Jordan should take in the displaced people. Palestinians and many other countries have rejected this proposal, as they believe that Palestinians should remain in their homeland.

In his speech, Abdelatty also asked for global support for UNRWA, a United Nations agency that helps Palestinian refugees. This agency has faced opposition from Israel, but Abdelatty emphasized that it plays an essential role in helping the people of Gaza recover. Egypt’s actions show that it stands firmly against forced displacement, advocating for solutions that allow Palestinians to stay in Gaza while receiving international support for rebuilding the area.
