Abu Dhabi: JLL has been appointed as the facilities management operator for Pure Data Centres Group’s new Yas Island data centre in Abu Dhabi. The data centre, which transitioned into live operations at the end of February 2025, will provide 45MW of capacity.
This appointment strengthens JLL’s growing reputation for delivering best-in-class data centre services across the EMEA region. JLL will manage integrated FM services that include maintaining the low-voltage and high-voltage electrical systems, uninterruptible power supplies, switchgear, and HVO-powered generators.
In addition, the company is responsible for overseeing hybrid air and liquid cooling systems, network and ICT management, and front-of-house services like cleaning and landscaping. Pure DC, a leading provider of hyperscale data centre solutions, selected JLL to operate its first UAE facility as part of its expansion strategy amid a 742MW hyperscale construction boom in the region.
The collaboration is supported by insights from industry leaders, including Jonathan Kinsey, JLL’s EMEA Lead and Global Chair of Data Centre Solutions, and Dame Dawn Childs, CEO of Pure Data Centres Group. They emphasized that the partnership reflects a shared commitment to high standards and innovative service delivery in a market where demand for robust digital infrastructure continues to grow, driven by the increasing need for AI-driven and cloud-based services.
