JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman Hints at Movement After Eid, Says State is in Danger

Islamabad: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has announced that a decision regarding launching a movement will be made after Eid-ul-Fitr, citing concerns over the country's political situation.

While speaking to journalists in Islamabad, Maulana Fazlur Rehman stated that the Prime Minister, President, and Interior Minister are unfit for their roles. He alleged that the current rulers did not come to power through a legitimate electoral process and warned that the state is in danger.

"We are thinking about the country's future despite being in the opposition, so why is the government not doing the same?" he questioned.

The JUI-F chief emphasized that former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif could play a crucial role in the prevailing political scenario. However, he criticized former President Asif Ali Zardari, stating that he is merely enjoying the situation. "Zardari is the only person capable of buying both the provincial assembly and the presidency," he remarked.

Commenting on the situation in Punjab, Maulana Fazlur Rehman said, "If Punjab is calm, it doesn’t mean everything is fine. Two provinces have been left to fend for themselves."
