Juniper Networks Expands: AI-Native Routing with Automation & Edge Reach

RIYADH: uniper Networks (NYSE: JNPR), a leader in secure AI-native networking, has announced a series of major innovations aimed at enhancing WAN routing performance through automation and AI-driven troubleshooting. The latest enhancements to Juniper’s AI-Native Routing portfolio integrate Mist AI™, offering proactive network observability, closed-loop remediation, and ongoing optimization.

A key highlight of the announcement is the introduction of the Juniper Networks® ACX7020 Access Edge Router, which extends AI-powered automation to the metro and customer premises, enabling enterprises, cloud providers, and service providers to optimize WAN performance while reducing operational complexity and energy consumption.

With the surge in network traffic and evolving data patterns such as Generative AI (GenAI) workloads the demand for high-performance WAN connectivity has increased significantly. Juniper’s expanded AI-Native Routing portfolio leverages advanced automation to tackle these challenges across enterprises and service provider networks.

Juniper’s Paragon portfolio streamlines WAN automation from deployment to ongoing network optimization. The latest enhancements include: AI-native routing observability: Mist AI delivers real-time visibility and AI-driven insights, proactively detecting routing anomalies and suggesting corrective actions, reducing operational costs by up to 85% in some cases, Proactive troubleshooting with LLM Connector: Customers can now integrate their own Large Language Model (LLM) deployments for advanced conversational troubleshooting, complementing Juniper’s Marvis® Virtual Network Assistant and Intent-based network optimization: Juniper’s AI-Native Routing now supports fully intent-driven traffic engineering, optimizing network performance for application-specific needs.

Juniper continues to enhance its AI-Native Routing platform with: Energy-efficient automation: Leveraging port, port group, and line card sleep features, Juniper’s routing solutions identify and switch off unused modules to lower power consumption and Extended WAN coverage with the ACX7020 Access Edge Router: Designed for both indoor and outdoor deployments, the ACX7020 enables seamless AI-native routing for space-constrained locations, connecting endpoints directly to the WAN.

“Operators and enterprises need to prepare for the increasing complexity of network traffic while managing costs effectively. Juniper’s AI-Native Networking approach, which integrates Mist AI with Paragon WAN automation, delivers a powerful solution for optimizing AI-driven data flows across WANs,” said Grant Lenahan, Partner & Principal Analyst at Appledore Research.

“By introducing a converged AI-Native Routing solution, Juniper is taking another step toward autonomous networking, helping organizations reduce WAN costs, improve efficiency, and drive exceptional user experiences at scale,” said AE Natarajan, EVP & Chief Development Officer at Juniper Networks.

Juniper Networks will showcase its AI-Native Routing solutions at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 in Barcelona from March 3-6. Attendees can visit Hall 2, Booth 2D12 for live demonstrations or schedule media briefings with Juniper representatives.
