Al-Mahrah: King Salman Medical and Educational City, spanning one million square meters in Yemen's Al-Mahrah governorate, is a key project aimed at strengthening the country's health and education sectors.
The city features a 110-bed hospital equipped with outpatient clinics, emergency and radiology departments, intensive care units, surgical facilities, and a cardiac catheterization unit.
As part of the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY), the initiative focuses on building medical facilities, training healthcare professionals, and enhancing public health.
The program has positively impacted over four million people and supported 26 medical facilities across nine governorates, significantly improving healthcare accessibility.
SDRPY has implemented 264 projects in eight vital sectors, including education, transportation, energy, water, agriculture, and capacity building, reflecting Saudi Arabia's ongoing support for Yemen's development.
