King Salman Orders Hosting of 1,300 Pilgrims from 100 Nations for Hajj

Riyadh: Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz has directed the hosting of 1,300 pilgrims from 100 countries to perform Hajj this year under the annual Guests of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Program for Hajj, Umrah, and Visit.

This initiative is implemented by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance. Minister of Islamic Affairs and General Supervisor of the program Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif expressed his gratitude to King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for the generous directive, highlighting that it reflects the Kingdom’s ongoing commitment to supporting Islamic causes and reinforces Saudi Arabia’s leadership role in the Muslim world.

The Ministry has mobilized its resources to ensure that the guests receive the highest standards of care and service.

A comprehensive operational plan is already in place, including spiritual, cultural, and academic programs, as well as field visits to significant Islamic and historical sites in Makkah and Madinah.

The program also features meetings with prominent scholars and imams of the Two Holy Mosques to enrich the pilgrims’ spiritual and intellectual experience.

This initiative is described as a distinguished and strategic effort to strengthen ties with religious, academic, and intellectual leaders across the Islamic world and to promote civilizational and religious dialogue.

Since its inception in 1417H, the program has hosted nearly 65,000 pilgrims from 140 countries, providing full logistical, religious, healthcare, and cultural support from nomination through to their return home after completing Hajj. Dr. Abdullatif  emphasized that the program exemplifies the Kingdom’s unwavering generosity and dedication to serving Islam and Muslims.

He also noted that it aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 by enhancing the Kingdom’s global presence and deepening its connections with Islamic communities worldwide.

The minister concluded with prayers for the safety and continued prosperity of King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, as well as for the sustained security, stability, and leadership of Saudi Arabia across all fields.
