RIYADH: The National Water Company has launched 16 water and wastewater projects in Saudi Arabia’s Qassim region, with a total investment exceeding SR1.1 billion ($293 million), the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The projects aim to enhance water and sanitation infrastructure to meet increasing demand and improve service quality.
The wastewater sector includes 12 projects worth over SR870 million, featuring the installation of more than 645 kilometers of sewage networks and the construction of lifting stations with a combined capacity of over 6,000 cubic meters per day.
The water sector comprises four projects valued at over SR247 million, involving the laying of more than 579 kilometers of water pipelines and networks.
These initiatives support the company’s strategy to expand water and environmental services and align with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 goals to raise living standards and service efficiency.
