RIYADH: Abdullah Abuthnain, Vice Minister of Human Resources and Social Development for Labor, is leading the Saudi delegation at the 51st Arab Labor Conference, currently being held in Cairo and running until April 26.
According to the report, The conference brings together labor ministers, as well as representatives of employers and workers from Arab Labor Organization member states, to discuss key labor issues across the region.
Saudi Arabia’s participation underscores its commitment to supporting joint Arab labor initiatives and promoting tripartite dialogue between governments, employers, and workers.
The conference agenda covers topics such as social policies for economic inclusion, sustainable development strategies, and the modernization of labor laws to keep pace with economic and technological advancements.
In his address, Abuthnain emphasized Saudi Arabia’s efforts to develop a competitive labor market and support economic diversification in line with national goals.
The Saudi delegation also attended the 62nd coordination meeting of the GCC Council of Ministers of Labor and Social Affairs, held on the sidelines of the conference.
The meeting focused on labor market trends, shared priorities, and enhanced cooperation with regional and international bodies.
