Beirut: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has distributed 863 food baskets to vulnerable communities across Lebanon, benefiting 4,315 individuals.
The aid reached families in Baalbek, Western Beqaa, Marjayoun, Bint Jbeil, Naame, and Akkar regions known to face ongoing socio-economic challenges.
This distribution forms part of KSrelief’s 2025 urgent food aid and winter clothing project for the Lebanese Republic, aimed at supporting the country’s most at-risk populations amid ongoing economic instability and a worsening cost-of-living crisis.
Lebanon has faced compounded crises in recent years, including a severe financial meltdown, widespread unemployment, and a growing number of families living below the poverty line.
These conditions have placed immense pressure on essential services and humanitarian needs, especially in rural and underserved areas.
KSrelief, the humanitarian arm of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, plays a central role in delivering life-saving aid around the world.
Since its establishment, the center has launched hundreds of relief projects across multiple sectors including food security, health, shelter, and education supporting millions in crisis-affected regions.
In Lebanon specifically, KSrelief has been active in delivering food assistance, medical support, and winter relief to displaced families, orphans, and low-income households.
This latest initiative reflects Saudi Arabia’s broader commitment to humanitarian action and regional solidarity.
Through such efforts, KSrelief continues to uphold the Kingdom’s values of compassion, extending critical aid to those in need regardless of nationality, religion, or background.
