Lahore: Lahore Police have launched a major crackdown against individuals involved in uploading fake videos and engaging in anti-state activities on social media, registering 23 cases under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA).
DIG Investigations Syed Zeeshan Raza stated that those promoting objectionable and derogatory content against national institutions do not deserve any leniency. He emphasized that individuals mocking or insulting state institutions will be brought to justice and dealt with the strictest legal action.
He added that such elements aim to spread chaos and hatred against state institutions, and their actions pose a serious threat to social harmony.
The accused will be prosecuted with strong legal evidence and their cases will be submitted in court to ensure they face appropriate punishment.
