Manchester City, aiming for a seventh title under Pep Guardiola, begins their campaign away at Wolverhampton Wanderers on August 16. Chelsea will welcome FA Cup winners Crystal Palace to Stamford Bridge on August 17.
On the same day, new Tottenham Hotspur manager Thomas Frank will debut in a home match against promoted Burnley. Spurs parted ways with Ange Postecoglou after narrowly avoiding relegation despite their Europa League triumph, ending a 17-year trophy drought.
Nottingham Forest, last season’s surprise performers, hosted Brentford, while League Cup champions Newcastle United visited Aston Villa, both on August 16. Promoted Sunderland face West Ham United, and Leeds United take on Everton on August 17.
