Madinah Launches 13th International Cultural Festival with 90 Nations

MADINAH: Prince Salman bin Sultan, Governor of Madinah, inaugurated the 13th International Cultural Festival at the Islamic University of Madinah.

According to the report, Running from April 13 to 19, the festival opened in the presence of diplomats and officials from across the Arab and Islamic world.

University President Saleh Alagla expressed gratitude for the governor’s continued support, noting the university’s legacy of graduating over 100,000 students from 170 countries.

Held over 28,000 sq. meters, the festival showcases students from 90 countries through more than 150 events, including family-friendly activities like Saudi Coffee Day and Arabic Poetry Day.

With over 100 pavilions, the event highlights global cultures, traditional fashion, and heritage. It also aligns with the Year of Handicrafts and underscores the Kingdom’s backing of international scholarship students.

A symposium during the festival will promote values of moderation, tolerance, and opposition to extremism, with expert speakers sharing perspectives.
