LOS ANGELES: Actor Matthew Lawrence, famed for shows like Boy Meets World and Mrs. Doubtfire, recently shared some deep struggles he has faced in his career--stage fright.
The darling actor, 45, revealed not without blushing, that despite all the hours of screen time he put in before cameras or in front of larger audiences, he still feels deeply anxious about the thought of singing in front of larger crowds.
In an exclusive discussion with Fox News Digital, Lawrence confessed that he had shunned performances that would involve singing for the past ten years driven by fear.
"I actually have stage fright for singing in front of large audiences, believe it or not. And acting is a whole different thing for me," he added. That's why we've seen very little of him in singing performances, despite his entertainment industry background.
Lawrence's courage emerged when he finally became part of The Masked Singer that places celebrities in get-ups for live performances. Pushed by his personal advice that one should confront his or her own fears, he went on to perform.
In our time, he did his Brothers Lawrence duo names Joey and Andrew. Together, through Brotherly Love podcast, all three muse over life, family, and their Hollywood journey.
He made it that you can publicly turn your vulnerability to fuel your greatness, even for someone very high up. People gawk at Lawrence's bravery just the way other celebs and fans are.
