Philadelphia: NFL legend Michael Vick has sent a heartfelt message to Saquon Barkley after the Philadelphia Eagles running back was revealed as the cover athlete for Madden NFL 2026. Vick, who famously appeared on the cover of Madden 2004, posted a short but powerful video on his Instagram, dressed in a green and gold shirt reading “BEHOLD.”
In the video, Vick praised Barkley for the accomplishment, saying, “Congratulations on being the 2026 Madden cover athlete. I know this is a special moment for you.” Vick acknowledged the achievement’s importance, noting his experience as a former cover star and reminding Barkley that the moment is shared with teammates, without whom “this didn’t happen.”
He added, “Keep doing you. Keep bleeding green. Keep believing in yourself. Keep trusting the process, as we say, because we know what that means.” Vick also wished Barkley a strong and healthy 2025 season, closing the message with genuine support.
Vick, now head coach at Norfolk State University, disabled comments on the post, but it still garnered thousands of likes, including one from Barkley himself, showing mutual respect between the players.
Barkley’s Madden cover marks a significant milestone in his career and further cements his status as a central figure in the Eagles’ future.
Vick’s public support adds another layer of validation, especially from someone who made history with his electrifying performances in real life and on the virtual gridiron.
