BELLEAIR, Florida: Nelly Korda made a triumphant return to competition after a nearly two-month break, capturing her seventh LPGA Tour title this season with a spectacular comeback at The Annika. The 25-year-old American shot a final-round 3-under 67 at Pelican Golf Club on Sunday, overcoming a shaky start and staging a birdie blitz on the back nine.

Trailing by two shots at the turn, Korda ignited her charge with five consecutive birdies starting at the 11th hole. Her flawless back nine sealed a three-shot victory over Charley Hull, Jin Hee Im, and Weiwei Zhang.

"I had some rough moments earlier in the round, but I just kept pushing," Korda said. "The adrenaline and the competition are what I live for, especially on the back nine."

Hull, who led wire-to-wire until Sunday, struggled to maintain her lead, finishing with a 1-over 71. Meanwhile, rookie Jin Hee Im and Zhang both delivered solid rounds to tie for second, with Zhang’s finish helping her secure her LPGA card for next season.

Korda’s win is her fourth of the year when trailing entering the final round, showcasing her resilience and competitive edge. She also became the first player since Yani Tseng in 2011 to win seven LPGA titles in a single season and the first American to achieve the feat since Beth Daniel in 1990.

Adding a personal touch to her victory, Korda’s younger brother, professional tennis player Sebastian Korda, was present to witness her win for the first time.

With her latest triumph, Korda's earnings surpassed $4 million for the season, and she now eyes the $4 million prize at next week’s CME Group Tour Championship in Naples.

"After time off for an injury, it’s incredible to be back," Korda said. "This win is special, and I’m looking forward to the next challenge."
