Vienna: Nicole Kidman opened up about the challenges of filming Nine Perfect Strangers season 2 in the icy Austrian Alps. Speaking to People magazine, the Oscar-winning actress revealed that while she cherished the breathtaking landscape, the winter weather wasn’t always kind.
The second season of the psychological drama shifted from California’s warmth to a much darker and colder tone, with scenes shot over six months in deep snow and a real Austrian castle.
Kidman, 57, said she loved the invigorating experience of being in nature, surrounded by fresh air and snow. However, she admitted that night shoots in freezing temperatures were challenging.
“I’m tired, and I’m cold,” she confessed. Still, she acknowledged that the harsh environment enhanced her performance and added depth to the story.
Season 2 promises a more intense atmosphere than the first, with the chilling setting playing a key role in its tone. Kidman’s commitment to authenticity shines despite the physical demands of filming in winter.
