Abu Dhabi: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with the President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, during his official one-day visit to Abu Dhabi on Thursday. The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral ties and discussing regional and global issues of mutual interest.
Prime Minister Sharif expressed gratitude to the UAE leadership for its constructive role in easing tensions between Pakistan and India. He praised the UAE’s positive contributions toward promoting peace and stability in the region.
The Prime Minister also extended a formal invitation to the UAE President to visit Pakistan.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir accompanied Prime Minister Sharif during the meeting.
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Sharif arrived in Abu Dhabi on the invitation of President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed. He was warmly received at Al Bateen Airport by the UAE President’s brother and National Security Advisor, Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who escorted him to the Presidential Palace.
Also present to receive the Prime Minister were Ali Ahmed Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the UAE Supreme National Security Council, Pakistan’s Ambassador to the UAE Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, and other officials of the Pakistani diplomatic mission.
The Pakistani delegation includes Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir, Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi.
