Noman Habib Reflects on Fame, Ego, and Staying Grounded in the Entertainment Industry

Lahore: Pakistani actor Noman Habib, widely recognized for his role in Main Hoon Shahid Afridi, recently offered a candid reflection on the highs and lows of fame during his appearance on Dunya News’ talk show Mazaq Raat

Sharing heartfelt anecdotes from his journey, Noman spoke about how success transformed the way people perceived him, recalling how, as a child, he used to go door to door with friends collecting funds to decorate their neighborhood for Independence Day. Back then, many people were dismissive, but those same individuals later sought his attention, some even inviting him for tea, once his fame rose.

This shift in behavior made him realize how quickly public perception changes when fame enters the picture. He also spoke of early career struggles, where his respectful nature made him an easy target for blame, especially from colleagues and assistants in the industry. Over time, he learned to stand up for himself and claim the respect he had earned. During the interview, Noman addressed the danger of ego in showbiz, admitting he too once began to feel self-important, but credited his family and close friends for keeping him grounded.

They offered honest feedback, reminding him of his roots and calling him out when needed. His core message to fellow actors was to resist the illusions of fame, stay humble, and surround themselves with truth-tellers rather than yes-men. The interview not only highlighted his personal growth but also offered a rare, introspective view of how the entertainment industry shapes identity and perception.
