Non-Governmental Organization Empowers Women in Swat Through STEM Education and Surveys

Swat: A non-governmental organization has trained 40 women in STEM education under the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). As part of the initiative, all the women conducted door-to-door surveys to implement their projects effectively.

During the survey, participating female students shared their experiences, stating they learned numerous new skills and concepts they were previously unaware of.

One of the participants, working on the issue of harassment, shared that she was previously unaware of the various forms of harassment. Through this project, she gained valuable knowledge about the multiple dimensions of harassment and how to address them.

Another participant, assigned to a project on market access, explained her focus on helping women from rural areas access markets to sell their products effectively.

The 15-day project also included a survey on women suffering from psychological disorders caused by conflicts. The initiative aimed to explore ways to help these women reintegrate into normal life.

This training not only provided these women with technical skills but also empowered them to address key issues within their communities, marking a significant step toward women's empowerment in the region.
