Gaza: Since the beginning of the 2024–2025 academic year, more than 1.2 million Palestinian
students in Gaza and the occupied West Bank have benefitted from a free e-learning platform developed in Amman, Jordan.
The initiative, called Wise School, was launched by Jo Academy, a Jordanian e-learning company, in partnership with the World Islamic Sciences and Education University. It was introduced in response to royal directives to help Palestinian students continue their education despite war-related disruptions, electricity shortages, and limited internet access caused by the Israeli conflict.
The platform allows students to download lessons for offline access and follows the full Palestinian curriculum from grade one through grade twelve (Tawjihi). It issues certificates accredited by the Palestinian Ministry of Education and recognized in Jordan. More than 100 Jordanian teachers helped create and present the content.
Wise School is now among the top five educational platforms worldwide, offering video lessons, interactive content, worksheets, and even specialized modules in psychological support, programming, first aid, digital marketing, and design.
