Over 65,000 Cases of Acute Malnutrition Among Children in Gaza

Gaza: The Gaza Government Media Office has reported that more than 65,000 children in Gaza are suffering from acute malnutrition, part of the 1.1 million children impacted by the ongoing crisis in the region.

According to the reports, Israel’s relentless airstrikes and the total blockade of Gaza have led to a catastrophic decline in health conditions, with malnutrition rates rising sharply, especially among infants and young children.

The statement, issued via Telegram, condemned Israel for what it described as using "the weapon of starvation and thirst" in a systematic attempt to destroy life within Gaza. The media office argued that Israel’s actions are in violation of international humanitarian laws and norms.

In light of the worsening situation, the Gaza government called on the international community to intervene immediately to hold Israel accountable and alleviate the humanitarian crisis. The health and survival of Gaza’s youngest residents are increasingly at risk as the blockade continues to prevent essential aid from reaching the area.
