New York: Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar, met with Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Foreign Minister, Engineer Waleed Abdulkarim El-Khereiji, in New York. Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral economic cooperation.
According to sources, the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister praised the longstanding brotherly relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. He reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to further enhancing economic and security cooperation between the two nations.
Senator Dar lauded the remarkable progress Saudi Arabia has achieved under the visionary leadership of Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman and recognized the Kingdom’s key role in promoting regional and global peace and stability.
During the meeting, both leaders acknowledged the deep strategic and economic ties between their countries. They reaffirmed their resolve to expand economic collaboration and explore broad-based partnerships in trade, investment, and commerce. The discussion also highlighted Pakistan’s vast investment opportunities.
The two sides also exchanged views on the evolving situation in the Middle East, particularly the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza and the West Bank.
Both leaders emphasized the need for a full implementation of the ceasefire in Gaza, ensuring the immediate and uninterrupted delivery of humanitarian aid, expediting reconstruction efforts, and progressing towards a two-state solution for Palestine.
Additionally, they underscored the vital role of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in addressing challenges faced by the Muslim Ummah.
