Pakistan's Information Minister Slams India Over (allegedly) "Fake Pahalgam Drama"

Islamabad: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar, has strongly criticized India, accusing it of staging a "fake drama" in Pahalgam.

Speaking to APP, Tarar warned India against any misadventure, stating that while Pakistan is a peaceful nation, it knows how to respond firmly to any aggression.

Tarar claimed that India is in a state of panic and its attempts at (alleged) false flag operations are backfiring on the international stage. He pointed to the Pahalgam incident, highlighting that the First Information Report (FIR) was filed merely 10 minutes after the alleged attack, questioning the credibility of the Indian narrative.

"What kind of incident allows for an FIR to be registered just 10 minutes after the attack? This reflects the level of competence where they end up targeting their own citizens," Tarar alleged.

Following the Pahalgam attack, Tarar noted that Pakistan's National Security Committee (NSC) had issued a strong response. He added that Pakistan’s move to close its airspace to Indian aircraft has led to a dramatic surge in air ticket prices within India.

The minister further accused India of reacting in frustration by targeting Pakistani prisoners and citizens in Indian-administered Kashmir through staged encounters. "India is trying to weaponize terrorism and portray itself as a victim," he said.

Tarar also claimed that Pakistan possesses undeniable evidence of India's involvement in acts of terrorism within its borders.
