RIYADH: The General Directorate of Passports issued nearly 15,000 administrative decisions during the last month of Shawwal against individuals violating residency, labor, and border security regulations.
The penalties include imprisonment, fines, and deportation.
A total of 14,800 rulings were made by the directorate’s administrative committees across various regions of the Kingdom, targeting both citizens and expatriates involved in violations.
Authorities warned all citizens and residents including business owners not to transport, employ, harbor, or assist violators in any form, such as by providing jobs, shelter, or transportation.
The directorate urged the public to report violators by calling 911 in the regions of Makkah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or 999 in other parts of the Kingdom.
