Riyadh: Multinational law firm Pinsent Masons has announced the launch of Pinsent Masons Saudi Arabia Law Firm LLC in Riyadh, commencing operations on 1 March 2025.
The expansion strengthens the firm’s presence in the Middle East and enhances its operational independence under Saudi Arabia’s evolving regulatory framework.
As part of this transition, Ibrahim Alajaji, formerly a partner at Alsabhan & Alajaji, will join as Managing Partner of Pinsent Masons Saudi Arabia. Naif Alsabhan will continue to lead Alsabhan & Alajaji, which will maintain its focus on local courts and legislation drafting. Despite operating independently, both firms will continue their exclusive collaboration, first established in 2018.
Catherine Workman, Partner and Head of Middle East at Pinsent Masons, highlighted the significance of the move “This marks an exciting new chapter for our firm and our clients in the region. Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 programme is driving significant transformation, creating new opportunities for investors and reshaping the legal and regulatory landscape.”
Ibrahim Alajaji, Managing Partner at Pinsent Masons Saudi Arabia, emphasized the strategic benefits “This transition strengthens our ability to deliver high-quality legal services and supports Saudi Arabia’s economic transformation. It also provides young Saudi legal professionals with opportunities to gain expertise in high-value transactions within a leading international law firm.”
Naif Alsabhan, Managing Partner at Alsabhan & Alajaji, reaffirmed the alliance’s success “Our firm remains committed to expanding our litigation and legislation drafting services. This new phase enables us to better support domestic and international businesses operating in Saudi Arabia.”
With established offices in Qatar and the UAE, Pinsent Masons continues to play a key role in major projects across the region. The firm’s Saudi expansion aligns with Vision 2030, reinforcing its commitment to providing legal expertise to regional and global clients.
