ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held separate meetings with the ambassadors of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Kuwait, during which regional peace, bilateral ties, and the recent Pulwama incident were discussed in detail. The envoys expressed their countries’ willingness to work with Pakistan for the peace and stability of the region.

According to reports, Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki met with the Prime Minister at the Prime Minister's Office. On the occasion, Shehbaz Sharif extended warm wishes for King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, and thanked the Saudi leadership and people for their consistent support.

The Prime Minister reiterated that Saudi Arabia has always stood in solidarity with Pakistan and stated that Pakistan condemns all forms and manifestations of terrorism. He highlighted the sacrifices Pakistan has made in the fight against terrorism over the years.

Rejecting India’s baseless allegations linking Pakistan to the recent Pulwama incident, the Prime Minister reiterated his call for a transparent and impartial international investigation. He stated that Indian attempts to undermine Pakistan’s anti-terrorism efforts and derail its path to economic progress are incomprehensible.

He urged Saudi Arabia and other brotherly nations to press India to de-escalate regional tensions and reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to peace and stability in South Asia. The Saudi envoy thanked the Prime Minister for sharing Pakistan’s perspective and expressed Saudi Arabia’s intent to work with Pakistan for regional peace and security.

In a separate meeting, the UAE Ambassador, Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al-Zaabi, also called on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The Prime Minister expressed gratitude for the UAE's unwavering support to Pakistan. The two discussed the regional situation following the Pulwama incident.

The Prime Minister condemned all acts of terrorism, reminding that Pakistan has been a victim of terrorism itself, suffering the loss of 90,000 lives and economic damages exceeding $152 billion. He again dismissed Indian accusations as an attempt to divert attention from Pakistan’s extensive anti-terrorism efforts.

The UAE ambassador thanked the Prime Minister and reaffirmed his country's commitment to working jointly with Pakistan to ensure regional peace and security.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also met with the Kuwaiti Ambassador, during which the Pulwama incident was discussed in detail. The Prime Minister noted the historical ties between Pakistan and Kuwait and said the two countries have always stood by each other.

He expressed anticipation for the upcoming visit of the Kuwaiti Crown Prince to Pakistan and reiterated Pakistan’s strong condemnation of terrorism. The Prime Minister emphasized that linking Pakistan to the Pulwama incident without evidence is unjustified and offered international cooperation for a transparent investigation.

The Kuwaiti envoy thanked the Prime Minister for sharing Pakistan's position and reiterated Kuwait's support for regional peace and understanding.
